A Georgia man calling himself a “witch doctor” was charged this week with raping a woman who came to him to be “cleansed” during a “ritual.”

The Duluth Police Department charged 44-year-old Hassan Shalgheen with rape, sexual battery, false imprisonment, and theft by deception, WXIA reports.

The victim told police she paied Shalgheen $500 for the “ritual” before he removed her clothes and raped her.

Shalgheen was denied bond and remains jailed in Gwinnett County.

Duluth police said they were concerned there may be more victims and urged anyone with information to contact Detective Gomez at 770-476-4151 or email tips@duluthpd.com.
