A North Carolina woman was found with multiple gunshot wounds on Friday after medical personnel responded to a call about a cardiac arrest at a home near South Mountains State Park.
Brandi Deal, 41, died from her injuries, according to the Burke County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office said it is investigating Deal’s death as a homicide. Investigators did not say who made the call about the cardiac arrest.
A reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
