A 36-year-old Ohio man has been arrested on charges of holding a woman against her will and beating her, causing serious injuries.
The Scioto County Sheriff’s Offfice said that the 44-year-old victim showed up at the office asking to file a report. She had several injuries and was covered in blood, accoring to WSAZ.
The woman told deputies that Matthew Sheppard assaulted her with a taser, punched her in the face, and kicked her all over her body. She also said she was choked and had knife cuts on her hands, deputies said.
She was taken to Southern Ohio Medical Center for treatment of bruising, cuts, a black eye, a broken hand, and a dislocated shoulder, deputies said.
Deputies recovered a taser and a knife from Sheppard’s home when he was arrested. He’s been charged with assault and kidnapping.
