A 23-year-old Arkansas woman was found dead in a ditch this week, and investigators consider her death a homicide.
Conway County Sheriff Mike Smith said that Savannah Oden was last seen in Morrilton at about 11 p.m. on Wednesday, KARK reported. A passing motorist saw her body 19 miles away at about 8 a.m. on Thursday.
“Somebody either gave her a ride out to where she was, or we don’t know yet,” Smith said.
Smith said the state crime lab was conducting an autopsy and results are expected by Wednesday.
Oden’s family described her as an “amazing” and great with kids.
“An amazing sister and always loved her family no matter the circumstances,” her brother, Brandon Oden, said. “She had a big heart for the people she loved.”
