A 15-year-old girl was found dead from an apparent head injury in her metropolitan Atlanta apartment on Tuesday, and investigators say it’s a homicide.

Peachtree City Police said that girl’s mother found her at about 6 a.m. in her bed, WAGA reported.

“The girl was last seen alive Monday evening,” Assistant Chief Matt Meyers told The Citizen.

Meyers said the girl lived in the apartment with her mother and brother.

“At this stage, we’re not ruling anybody in or out,” Meyers said. “No suspect is in custody.”

Meyers also said that “there is no reason for neighbors for the public to be concerned.”

The victim’s name has not been released.
