The Orange County Sheriff’s Office released body camera footage showing the arrest of 19-year-old Keith Melvin Moses, the suspect in a string of shootings on Wednesday that left three people dead.
A woman in her 20s, a 9-year-old girl, and a reporter were killed in three separate shootings in the same area, as CrimeOnline previously reported. The 9-year-old’s mother and a photojournalists who was with the reporter to report on the first shooting remain in critical condition.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said the first shooting killed the young woman at about 11 a.m. Several hours later, deputies were called back to the same location, where Spectrum 13 reporter Dylan Lyons and photographer Jesse Walden had been shot. The same suspect from the morning shooting was believed to have shot the news crew as well as another shooting less than a block away, where the 9-year-old and her mother were shot.
The 9-year-old was identified as T’yonna Major, NBC reported.
Moses, who has an extensive criminal history and is believed to be a gang member, has been charged with the first shooting and is expected to be charged with the others this week.
