A 57-year-old French woman bit off part of a would-be rapist’s tongue early Sunday morning in Avignon and turned it over to police for evidence.
According to France Bleu, the woman was walking her dog at about 4 a.m. when a man approached her and began forcibly hugging and kissing her while reaching his hand into his pants.
The woman fought back and came away with a piece of evidence. She took it home with her, then went to the police station with her son to hand it over.
Officers responded to the area where the attack took place and found the bloody suspect.
The man, a Tunisian in his 30s who was reportedly living illegally in France, told police that the woman attacked him. The disposition of the case is unclear.
