The 19-year-old Florida man suspected of killing a journalist and a 9-year-old girl hours after killing another woman has now been charged with first degree murder in all three deaths.
Keith Moses was charged last week with the death of 38-year-old Natacha Augustin, “an acquaintance” of Moses who was shot dead Wednesday morning in Pine Hills.
Hours later, Moses allegedly returned to the scene, where he is accused of shooting and killing Spectrum News 13 reporter Dylan Lyons and critically wounding Lyons’ photographer, Jesse Walden, as they were preparing for a live report on the morning’s murder, as CrimeOnline previously reported. Then, police said, he went around the corner and shot Brandi Major and her 9-year-old daughter, T’yonna Major. T’yonna died from her wounds, and her mother was critically injured.
In addition to the three first degree murder charges, Moses now faces attempted first-degree murder charges for shooting Brandi Major and Walden. He’s also been charged with armed burglary, WOFL reported.
Investigators have not discussed a possible motive for any of the murders and say Moses does not appear to have any connections with the journalists or the Majors.
Moses is reportedly a known gang member with an extensive criminal record that includes at least eight felony and 11 misdemeanor arrests on gun charges, aggravated assault, aggravated battery, assault with a deadly weapon, burglary, and grand theft.
He is expected in court on Tuesday.
