Missouri police arrested a 23-year-old Monday in St. Louis, following a shooting in broad daylight that left a man dead.
According to the Riverfront Times, police arrested Deshawn Thomas after a video surfaced Monday, showing him loading a gun before shooting a man in the head. The incident happened in the 700 block of North Tucker Boulevard, police said.
Police received a call at around 10:10 a.m. from someone who said a man who appeared to be in his 40s was sitting on a sidewalk curb when the suspect shot him. The pair reportedly had an argument earlier that morning at a nearby Shell gas station.
The incident was posted first on Twitter by user “Ponzi Slayer” (@ponziSTL); DailyMail, along with local outlets, KMOV and KMOX reshared the video before Twitter ultimately took it down.

On Tuesday afternoon, police identified the victim as David Saldana, St. Louis Dispatch reports. Thomas fled the scene following the shooting but law enforcement captured him as he walked into the St. Louis Public Library on Olive Street.
Police said they found a gun and bullet casing on the suspect, who was arrested without incident.
