Possible ‘Extreme danger’: Indiana Police Issue Silver Alert for Missing Georgetown Girl, Emily Barger, 14

Indiana police issued a statewide Silver Alert Tuesday for a 14-year-old girl reported missing out of Georgetown.

According to the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, Emily Barger was last seen at around 1 a.m. Monday morning in Georgetown, which is around two hours south of Indianapolis and roughly a 20-minute drive to Lousiville, Kentucky.

“The Floyd County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the disappearance of Emily Barger, a 14-year-old white female, 5 feet tall, 85 pounds, blond hair with blue eyes, and unknown clothing,” police said.

Police also said Emily could be in “extreme danger,” but haven’t provided additional details. A Silver Alert in Indiana is typically issued when a missing person is considered endangered, high-risk, and/or mentally impaired.

Anyone with information on Emily’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Floyd County Sheriff at (812) 948-5400 or 911.

This is a developing story and will be updated as additional information becomes available.
