Missing Mississippi Woman’s Car Found Burned, License Plate Removed

Investigators found the burned out car of a missing Mississippi woman early Wednesday, some 12 to 14 hours after she was reported missing by her family.

Ebony Owens, 36, was last seen near Interstate 20 in Clinton Tuesday night, the Hinds County Sheriff’s Office said.

The burned Acura was found around 6 a.m. Wednesday near Old Highway 80 and Jones Road in Edwards, the sheriff’s office said, and the vehicle’s license plate, not attached to the car, was found nearby.
