Memphis police have arrested a suspect in the deadly shooting at a restaurant Wednesday night.
Damone Sykes has been charged with murder, attempted murder, and possession of a firearm, WREG reported.
Seven people were shot, two fatally at the popular restaurant Prive. One of the fatalities was pronounced dead at the scene and the other died at a hospital, as CrimeOnline previously reported. Both were men.
The wounded victims were four men ages 37, 35, 31 and 30, and a 25-year-old woman. They were taken to local hospitals in private vehicles.
Police said a witness told investigators they brought Sykes to the restaurant, and that he was also shot. Video footage of the incident reportedly shows a man in orange — identified as Sykes — take a handgun from a victim and shoot him.
Investigators say the shooting began with an altercation inside the restaurant at closing time and spilled into the parking lot, where the shooting took place.
