Ohio police are searching for a Cleveland EMT who vanished on May 6 and according to law enforcement, her disappearance is considered “suspicious.”
According to law enforcement, Lachelle Jordan was last seen in the 11000 block of Fairport Avenue at around 6 p.m. At the time she was wearing a blue and white sweatshirt with East Cleveland Fire Department’s logo on the front and the letters ECFD on the back, along with green and white tie-dye pants, and rainbow-colored Crocs.
A family member, 19 News reports, said that Jordan was expected to give testimony in a rape case involving Michael Stennett, 65. He was charged in 2022 with two counts of rape and one count of abduction.
Court records obtained by Fox 8 indicated that Stennett, identified as an employee of the Cleveland Recreation Department when the rape accusations were made, allegedly followed Jordan while she was at work. Jordan told police she also spotted Stennett outside of her residence on several occasions.
According to court records, the most recent sighting of Stennett outside of Jordan’s home happened Thursday.

“I don’t want to place blame, but it’s not a coincidence. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that she just up and disappeared. I really don’t,” Jordan’s neighbor, Juanita Hamilton told Fox 8.
Police arrested Stennet on Monday afternoon, following Jordan’s disappearance, for felony probation violation.
Cleveland police said that at this time, there is no evidence that connects Stennett to Jordan’s disappearance. Family members, however, told police that someone fired a gunshot through Jordan’s window over the weekend.
Investigators suspect that the gunshot could have been a part of a continuous effort to intimidate her as a witness in the rape case involving Stennett.
“You don’t just vanish, you don’t. It’s crazy, it’s absolutely crazy. It doesn’t add up, it just doesn’t add up,” Jordan’s aunt, Autumn Fletcher, told Fox 8.
Jordan is described as a Black female who stands 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs around 150 pounds. She has black hair and green eyes.
Anyone with information should contact the Cleveland Division of Police at 216-621-1234 or call 911.
