A California man was arrested this week after he walked into Tracy police headquarters and told officers he had shot his wife and her girlfriend.
Satnam Sumal, 55, has been charged with two counts of murder in the death of Satbinder Singh, 39, and Nabjiba Belaidi, 37. Officers found both women dead at the home where all three lived on Sunflower Lane.
“In my 20-some-odd years in law enforcement, I can’t think of that ever happening,” Tracy Police Sgt. Michael Richards said, noting that Sumal knew of the two women’s relationship well before the shooting.
Neighbors told KOVR that two children under the age of 10 lived at the home, but neither were home at the time of the shooting.
Sumal is expected in court on Wednesday.
