Four teens have been arrested for the murder of a 14-year-old South Carolina girl who was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds Friday morning.
Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Rick Carson said that Drayton Tarvarus Smalls, 18; Sabin Alexander Buck, 19; Bailey Maria Taylor, 17; and an unnamed 16-year-old have all been charged with murder, WCSC reported. Taylor has been charged as an adult.
Carson said detectives worked through “mounds” of evidence after finding Mariyah Ezell’s body just before 7 a.m. on Friday. He said there were previous “incidents” involving the suspects prior to the shooting, which he called a “concerted” effort by the suspects.
He said detectives don’t anticipate further arrests, but he wouldn’t completely rule that out.
All four of the suspects were taken into custody Saturday evening.
