FOUND SAFE: Missing Georgia Woman Vanishes After Going to Out-of-state Festival

Desiree Nicole Shaw has been found safe, according to the Batesburg-Leesville Police Department. No additional information was provided.

The Batesburg-Leesville Police Department in South Carolina is seeking assistance from the public in locating a Georgia woman who vanished after visiting an out-of-sate festival.

Desiree Nicole Shaw, 26, of Darien, Georgia, was visiting the town for the weekend to participate in the South Carolina Poultry Festival. CBS 19 reports that she was last seen at Mel’s Bar off E. Church Street on Friday.

According to a Facebook post by the business, Shaw was last seen walking toward a nearby camper community, located next door to the bar.

Shaw is a white female with dark brown hair, and brown eyes, and weighs approximately 180 pounds. She has several distinct tattoos, including one that says “There’s no better friend than a sister,” a bird tattoo on her right shoulder, and a cross tattoo on her left leg.

At the time of her disappearance, Shaw was wearing a black shirt, light blue jeans, and white Vans shoes.
