A Utah man has been charged with murder after he called 911 and reported he had killed his wife and her parents.
Jeremy Bailey, 34, stayed on the phone with dispatchers until officers arrived, when he was told to come outside and was taken into custody.
The Layton Police Department said officers found Bailey’s wife, 36-year-old Anastasia Stevens; her stepmother, 61-year-old Becky Stevens; her father, 73-year-old Donald Stevens; and three of the family’s four dogs dead inside.
According to KTVX, the home belonged to the Baileys. The Stevenses were Nevada residents who were visiting the couple.
Police said they were still working to determine a motive, and cause of death is still under investigation.
Police said they were aware of a Facebook message that appeared on Anastasia Stevens’s page around the time Bailey called police, shortly before 10 a.m. The message said: “MASSACRE SUICIDE Jeremy Bailey JUST KILLED EVERYONE Becky Stevens Don Stevens AND 3 OF THE 4 DOGS.”
