An Ohio girl has been arrested after police found newborn twins dead on Saturday evening.
Cleveland police began investigating the incident at around 7:30 p.m. but have provided little information about the case, as CrimeOnline reported.
Sources told WJW that a juvenile was arrested and that formal charges would be filed this week in Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court.
Earlier, sources told WKYC that the babies were twins who were found in trash bins outside the east Cleveland house on Saturday, but they may have been born on Thursday.
The medical examiner confirmed the deaths but provided no further information.
A neighbor, who asked to remain anonymous, told WOIO that a landscaper looking for a place to dispose of yard waste found the infants.
Officials had previously told the station that police were questioning someone believed to be the newborns’ mother.
This is a developing story. Check back for more information.
