A Texas mother was indicted Wednesday on capital murder charges for stabbing three of her children to death in March.
KDFI reported that Ellis County prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for Shamaiya Hall, 25, who allegedly killed her 6-year-old son and 5-year-old twins after Child Protective Services tried to remove them and her 4-year-old son and 13-month-old daughter from her residence in Italy, as CrimeOnline previously reported. The CPS caseworker reportedly called 911 after Hall entered the home and returned outside with blood on her hands.
The children were reportedly discovered unresponsive in a bedroom with stab wounds to their abdomens. Hall also allegedly stabbed her 4-year-old son and 13-month-old daughter but they survived.
KDFI reported that Hall did not have custody of her five children. The children were living with their grandmother but she was not home at the time of the slayings.
Reports indicated that Hall was previously arrested for stabbing her twin sister’s boyfriend in 2017. That sister, Troyshaye Mone Hall, stabbed her 7-year-old daughter to death in 2017. She was subsequently found incompetent to stand trial and remains housed in a state hospital.
Shamaiya Hall remains jailed on a $10 million bond.
