Young Couple Gunned Down in Front Yard by Angry Landlord JUST BEFORE WEDDING

A Canadian landlord shot and killed a couple on the front lawn before barricading himself inside the house and engaging in a shootout with the police, according to reports.

The incident occurred in the Stoney Creek district of Hamilton, Ontario at around 5:40 p.m. on Saturday, when landlord Terry Bourassa, 57, opened fire at his tenants, killing them both at a home off Jones Road in Stoney Creek, Hamilton police said.

The victims have been identified as Carissa MacDonald, 27, and Aaron Stone, 28, the Toronto Sun reports. Police allege that Bourassa fatally shot the couple on the front lawn of his property, where he had resided for two decades.

MacDonald and Stone, who rented a basement apartment at the property, previously had a “disagreement surrounding issues within the house,” Det. Sgt. Steve Bereziuk with Hamilton Police’s Major Crime Unit said, DailyMail reports.

After several hours of negotiations, Bourassa initiated gunfire toward the officers. Hours later, one of the officers fired a fatal bullet at him. The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is currently conducting an investigation into the incident.

“At one point during the negotiations, the suspect fired at the Hamilton Police armoured vehicle. The suspect later fired additional rounds, which resulted in an interaction with police,” Hamilton police said.

MacDonald reportedly worked as an educational assistant at the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board. Stone was an electrician. They were planning to get married before tragedy struck.
