A Washington man reportedly remains missing nearly two weeks after he vanished while hiking on a trail.
Joshua Guerrier, 28, disappeared near the Ranger Hole Trail in Brinnon on Memorial Day. On May 31, a female acquaintance of Guerrier’s was injured and required rescued after she attempted to cross the Duckabush River while conducting an unsanctioned, independent search, according to the Peninsula Daily News
A GoFundMe stated that Guerrier’s dog, clothing, and cell phone were found a day after his disappearance. The Peninsula Daily News reported that hikers discovered the items at the Ranger Hole Trailhead on the Duckabush River.
KIRO reported that detectives suspect Guerrier may have gone into the water when currents were strong.
Jefferson County police and other agencies have conducted various drone and water searches for Guerrier, but he remains unaccounted for.
Guerrier was described as a Black male, 6 feet, 2 inches tall, and weighing 220 pounds. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Detective Sergeant Brett Anglin at banglin@co.jefferson.wa.us or 360-344-9762.
