Central California police are seeking the public’s tips while they search for the person involved in the death of a 17-year-old who was fatally stabbed the day after his high school graduation.
According to the Turlock Journal, Dylan Ray Dooling was stabbed and killed on June 2 while leaving a party at a home off North Daubenberger Road. Police said the suspect is a male in his 20s and was among a group of other males who got into a fight with Dylan as he walked home.
At 10:46 p.m. that night, responding officers discovered Dylan lying on the sidewalk. They initiated CPR before the victim was rushed to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead at around 11:40 p.m.
Police are now hoping someone has security footage, photos, or any tips that lead to the killer.
“Dillon didn’t deserve this, and nobody deserves this,” Pastor Morri Elliot said during a memorial for the teen this month, CBS News reports. “Dillon was a good young man. He was a loyal young man, and he was with his girlfriend Zoe that night and he was, from what I understand, he was protecting her.”
Neighbors reportedly told police that the house party Dylan attended was packed and people were being turned away at the door.
