Missing Lyft Customer Who Called 911 After Canceled Ride Found Dead in Marsh

An investigation is underway in Massachusetts after a man who vanished earlier this month was found dead on Friday.

Dickson De Los Reyes, 24, was last seen on June 11 leaving a party in Chelsea and getting into a Lyft. Police said De Los Reyes called 911 after the ride was canceled, but the call was disconnected and he could not be reached, according to Mass Live.

“Evidence indicates the call was made from the area of American Legion Highway in Revere,” State Police stated. “De Los Reyes has not been seen nor heard from since.”

The Boston Globe reported that De Los Reyes’ Lyft ride was canceled 14 minutes after it started. Five days after his disappearance, divers with State Police discovered De Los Reyes’ body in marshland in Revere, the same town where he apparently placed the 911 call.

Details regarding his death have not been disclosed. An autopsy, which includes toxicology testing, could take several weeks.
