An Ohio man who allegedly killed his three sons last week was often seen yelling at his wife and children at their home, according to reports.
Speaking with The Messenger, a friend claimed that Chad Doerman, 32, had an extremely bad temper. Previously, one of Doerman’s neighbors told WCPO that Doerman often appeared “angry” and they often witnessed him yelling at his family.
On Thursday, Doerman allegedly lined up his three sons, ages 3, 4, and 7, and shot them with a rifle outside their Monroe Township home. The children’s mother was shot in the hand as she tried to stop the slayings. An older daughter fled the scene on foot.
“I think he was a bomb ready to explode,” the friend told the Messenger.
Doerman was also accused of chasing and killing one of his three sons who tried to escape. The three boys were found dead in a yard, while Doerman was found sitting next to the rifle on the porch.
Charged with aggravated murder, Doerman’s bond was set at $20 million. He is due back in court on June 26.
