On Monday, Ohio prosecutors released two 911 calls from Thursday’s fatal shooting of three boys, allegedly carried out by their father.
According to The Cincinnati Enquirer, the first call was placed by a bystander who said she spoke with a girl, presumably Chad Doerman’s stepdaughter, after she fled the Monroe Township home. The first caller said she asked the girl if she needed a ride, but she said she could not leave her family.
The girl was reportedly seen running towards a nearby fire station.
“She says that her stepfather is killing everyone in the family,” the first caller stated.
A second person called 911 about seeing two injured children across the street from an automotive business. The Cincinnati Enquirer reported that another 911 call was made by a woman who said her “babies” had been shot, but prosecutors did not release that call.
Last week, Doerman, 32, allegedly lined up his three sons, ages 3, 4, and 7, and shot them with a rifle. He reportedly also shot the children’s mother as she tried to stop the slayings.
The three boys were found dead in a yard, while Doerman was found sitting next to the rifle on the porch. The father allegedly told police that he planned the slayings for months.
Doerman was also accused of chasing and killing one of his three sons who tried to escape.
Charged with aggravated murder, Doerman’s bond was set at $20 million. He is due back in court on June 26.
