A Lousiana pastor and his wife were rushed to a hospital earlier this week after a reported attempted murder-suicide incident in front of young children.
Danny Prenell Jr., 25, identified as the lead pastor at Bright Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Pineville, reportedly shot his wife, Gabby Prenell, 27, in front of their young children before turning the gun on himself. The incident happened at a Hampton Inn hotel, according to DailyMail.
“I may not be a perfect man, but I’ll always be a family man,” he posted on Facebook.
ABC 16 reports that the incident happened at approximately 3:30 p.m., according to Chief Juan Cloy with the McComb Police Department
Investigators have not yet provided updates on the condition of Prenell or his wife. The pair were reportedly taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center, while their three children were handed over to child protective services.
