An Alabama man has been charged with attempted murder after he allegedly broke into a relative’s home in Rainbow City last month and tried to drown her.

Ryan Tyler Watts, 24, was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center after he was released from the hospital on Friday, AL.com said.

Police in Attalla, about eight miles away, later located Watts when he drove his vehicle through the wall at Johnson’s Giant Foods. He was still inside the vehicle when they arrived.

He was taken into custody on Friday when he was released from the hospital.

He’s being held on a $100,000 bond.
