A Virginia woman has been jailed after she allegedly stabbed her mother to death Saturday morning.

Danville Police said that Ebonie Holm, 44, was charged with second degree murder in the death of 61-year-old Marie Boynton.

Police said they conducted a well-being check at about 11:45 a.m. Saturday and found Boynton suffering from multiple stab sounds. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police provided no other information except to say there were no other suspects.

Holm is being held without bond.
