Authorities in North Carolina and Virginia are working to find a missing toddler and bring her back home to her father, who is her legal guardian.
The Virginia Beach Police Department said that 3-year-old Samalea Daniels was taken from her father’s home in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, by her mother, Tianna Daniels, who lives in Virginia Beach. Her father reported her missing on June 20.
Daniels drives a gray 2011 Ford Escape with Virginia tag N4M45T3.
Samalea is described as 2 feet tall and about 35 pounds with black hair and brown eyes, WBTV reported.
According to WVEC, the little girl was last seen at her grandmother’s house in Virginia Beach Friday morning. The father contacted Virginia Beach police about the missing report he filed in North Carolina, and a judge ordered the girl be returned to him.
A Virginia State Police spokesperson told the outlet they believe the girl is in “extreme danger.”
State police described Daniels, 29, as 5 feet 6 inches tall and 130 pounds with hazel eyes and brown hair.
