3 Charged in Deadly Florida Walmart Shooting

Florida police have arrested three men following a deadly shooting at a Florida City Walmart on Wednesday.

Miami=Dade Police said that Steven Lestin, 25, has been charged with second degree murder and attempted felony murder, while Roberto Acevedo, 20, and Jimari Hodge, 21, are charged with battery, The Associated Press reported.

Police said they weren’t looking for additional suspects, although they said on Wednesday they had taken one suspect into custody and were looking for four more after an altercation broke out between two groups of people, as CrimeOnline reported.

Two people were shot in Wednesday’s incident, which happened inside the store. Nathaniel Baez, 23, was involved in the confrontation that led to the shooting and was taken to a Miami trauma center, where he died. The other victim was a bystander who was shot in the foot.

Several other people were injured in the mad scramble to escape the gunfire, including one woman who fell and hit her head and was taken to a hospital. She was in stable condition, WTVJ reported. Five other people were treated and released on the scene.

According to jail records, Lestin was being held without bail, according to the AP. Acevedo and Hodge were each given a $1,500 bail.
