A boat driver was arrested for boating while intoxicated causing serious injuries after the boat he was driving on the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri ran aground, slammed into a house, and ejected its passengers.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the crash took place just before midnight Saturday. All eight people aboard the boat were injured, six of them seriously, and were transported to Lake Regional Hospital.

Troopers responded to a serious injury crash last night at the 1.5 mile mark of the main channel. The boat ran aground and struck a home, causing it to overturn, ejecting all eight passengers.

Adam Ramirez, 47, was arrested and released for medical treatment.
The people on board ranged in age from 21 to 51, and none of them were from Missouri. None were wearing life jackets, investigators said.

Troopers are currently reconstructing the crash scene using a drone.

The highway patrol said the home sustained extensive damage, KOMU reported.
A towboat captain told KOMU the owner of the home was inside sleeping when the boat slammed into the house and was not injured.
