Florida Detectives Seek to Identify Woman Whose Remains Were Found in Floating Suitcases

Florida investigators have released an artist’s sketch of a woman found dead earlier this month and two of the suitcases that held her dismembered body.

Delray Beach police found the remains late last week when a 911 caller “reported seeing something strange in the intracoastal waterway,” as CrimeOnline previously reported.

Detectives found a suitcase containing human remains, and shortly afterward, two more suitcases, also containing human remains. Investigators determined they belonged to the same woman and began work to identify her.

Police police the woman was killed between July 17 and 20 and described her as a white or Hispanic middle-aged woman with brown hair, about 5 feet 4 inches tall, who may have had tattooed eyebrows. She was wearing a floral tank top, black undershirt, and black, mid-thigh shorts.

The top was from a company called Betzabe, which police said was apparently a Brazilian company. Two of the suitcases were unique, they said: One was a purple Palm Springs Ricards Beverly Hills bag, and the other was a green and black polka dot Charlie Sport bag.

Detectives stressed that the artist’s rendering was not an exact likeness and asked the public to review their surveillance cameras along the intracoastal waterway between July 17 and 20.
