FBI Joins Search for 2 Sisters Who Vanished From Adoptive Parents’ Home in June

The FBI said on Monday that it has joined the search for two teen sisters who vanished in Michigan in June.

According to the agency, a neighbor last saw Iris and Tamara Perez, 15 and 14, heading to the woods near their Houghton Lake home on June 28. A white Jeep was reportedly spotted leaving the area around the same time.

The two sisters and their adoptive parents lived in Florida up until March. They all reportedly moved to Michigan after the girls were found at their biological mother’s home in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

According to WFLA, Iris Perez was described as being about  5 feet tall, weighing roughly 140 pounds, and having a star tattoo on the left side of her neck. She was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with a U.S. flag, and green fleece pajama bottoms with stars on them.

Tamara Perez was described as being 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing approximately 120 pounds. She was last seen wearing a green “Boynton Beach” t-shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information regarding Iris and Tamara Perez’s whereabouts is asked to call the Roscommon County Sheriff’s Office at 989-275-5101.
