Shooting at Florida Home Depot Leaves Woman Dead, 2 Others Wounded

A 20-year-old man opened fire inside a Florida Panhandle Home Depot store Friday afternoon, killing a woman and leaving two other people injured.

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office said it arrested Keith Eric Agee in connection with the fatal shooting, which it said was not random.

“We do believe the victim was targeted,” Escambia County Sheriff Chip Simmons said, according to the Pensacola News Journal. “The other two were a consequence of the tragic incident.”

The fatal victim was a contract employee of RGIS Inventory Services, which had been hired to do inventory at the store, the News Journal said. One of the other victims, who was grazed in the hand, was also a contract employee. The other victim was a regular employee of the store and was grazed in the back.

The victims’ identities have not been released.

Agee, from Bay Minette, Alabama, is in custody but has not been formally charged. He will be charged with murder, Simmons said.

According to WEAR, Agee called Pensacola Police from a nearby pizza restaurant and turned himself in. The station said Agee was arrested in Mobile in February and again in April on domestic violence charges. The charges were dropped in both cases.
