An Alabama woman has been jailed on murder and attempted murder charges after an alleged social media feud turned into a deadly shooting.
The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office said it was asked to investigate after the shooting Friday in Semmes that left Honesty Shacole Holloway-Wilkerson, 23, dead and her sister, 14-year-old Germany Holloway-Wilkerson, wounded, WPMI reported.
Curtellius Tenise Tapaingea James, 22, was charged with murder and attempted murder.
Witnesses told investigators they went with James to a local restaurant on Friday and when they returned, James’ belongings were in the yard, her vehicle had been keyed, and all four tires were flat.
At that point, the Holloway-Wilkerson sisters arrived and began to argue with James, who shot the older sister in the chest with a shotgun and fired at the teen as she fled the scene, striking her in the thigh. Honesty Holloway-Wilkerson was pronounced dead at the scene, and Germany was found down the street at a neighbor’s and taken to a hospital.
The witnesses said that James and Honesty Holloway-Wilkerson had been fighting for some time on social medica, but they said they didn’t know what the argument was about.
James was booked into Metro Jail.
