Arizona has formally requested extradition to bring “cult mom” Lori Vallow Daybell to the Grand Canyon State to stand trial for conspiracies in the death of her fourth husband and attempted murder of her niece’s ex-husband.
Vallow Daybell was convicted in the murders of two of her children, 16-year-old Tylee Ryan and 7-year-old JJ Vallow, and her fifth husband’s first wife, Tammy Daybell, in May and sentenced late last month to life in prison without parole, as CrimeOnline has reported.
Chad Daybell, Vallow Daybell’s fifth husband, stands accused on the same charges and is expected to go to trial next year.
Grand jury indictments in Arizona charge her with conspiring with her brother, Alex Cox, in July 2019 to kill Charles Vallow so she could marry Daybell and get a substantial life insurance payout and with another conspiracy with Cox in October of that year to kill Brandon Boudreaux.
Police say Cox, who reportedly died of “natural” causes in November 2019, shot at Boudreaux but missed.
Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs signed paperwork requested Vallow Daybell’s extradition on Wednesday, KTVK reported.
Authorities say it generally takes between 3 and 6 months for the process to be completed before Vallow Daybell is sent to Arizona, KMVT said.
