An Oklahoma man shot and killed his estranged wife and their three young children before turning the gun on himself late Wednesday night.
Oklahoma City police said a family member found the victims at the home at about 11:30 p.m. The woman and two of the children were pronounced dead on the scene; the suspect and the the third child were taken to a hospital, where they died.
Police identified the victims as Cassandra Flores, 29; Hillary Armendariz, 9; Damaris Armendariz, 5; and Matias Armendariz, 2.
The suspect was identified as 28-year-old Ruben Armendariz.
“That family member reported that when he arrived, he did locate several of his family members deceased at the home,” Capt. Valerie Littlejohn told KOCO. “It appears this was a murder-suicide attempt. The suspect, who is an adult male, had shot himself.”
Investigators are still working to determine what led to the shooting.
