A registered sex offender in Idaho was arrested Thursday with a DVD containing 23 videos of child sexual abuse and now faces up to 230 years in prison if he’s convicted.
The state Probation and Parole Department requested assistance from the Bingham County Sherif’s Office on July 28 for a home visit at Shaun Patrick Millard’s home, EastIdahoNews.com reported. A detective arrived and found that parole officers had found several parole violations and taken Millard, 52, into custody.
The police report said the detectives noted a clear plastic sack on the kitchen counter containing “four pairs of little girls’ dirty underwear that appeared to be soiled” along with five DVDs. One of the videos contained 23 videos of children engaged in sexual acts.
According to the police report, a girl in one of the videos was often around Millard’s home, and detectives had her parents come in to identify the child on August 14. The father confirmed the girl in the video was his 11-year-old daughter.
Millard was charged with 23 counts of possessing child sexually exploitative material at his July 28 arrest. An addition charge of persistent violator was added on August 17, according to court records.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 31.
