An Oklahoma man who allegedly shot and killed his elderly mother on Sunday told authorities that he did it with her consent.
According to KOTV, Shane Smith, 48, called 911 and admitted to killing Connie Smith, 76, at a home in Oklahoma City. Shane Smith reportedly told authorities that he and his mother previously agreed that he would shoot her if an illness left her disabled.
Shane Smith is charged with first-degree murder. The Oklahoman reported that authorities are investigating if Connie Smith had any medical conditions prior to her death.
