A 15-year-old Tennessee boy, who vanished a day before his grandmother was reportedly found murdered by her boyfriend, was also found dead on Monday.
WMC reported that Memphis police found Anneria Turman fatally shot in a wooded area on August 16, a day after Turman’s grandson, Syquavius Hoyett, had disappeared. It is unclear where Hoyett’s body was discovered, but Turman’s live-in boyfriend, Herman Hollins-Brown, was arrested and charged with her murder.
According to WATN, Turman was shot in the back of the head. Police reportedly discovered a bullet fragment and blood in Hollins-Brown’s home and blood coming from the trunk of his car.
WATN reported that Turman had custody of Hoyett at the time of her murder.
Jailed without bond, Hollins-Brown is charged with first-degree murder and abuse of a corpse. According to WMC, police said additional charges are forthcoming.
