Netflix Employee Missing Nearly 2 Weeks After Uber Ride, Belongings Found by Bridge

A man remains missing more than a week after he reportedly vanished after taking an Uber ride in California.

San Francisco police said they do not suspect foul play in the August 14 disappearance of Yohanes Kidane, 22, who was reportedly last seen getting into a car with an Uber sticker. Kidane’s brother said his belongings were found by the Golden Gate Bridge last week, according to KTVU.

Kidane is from New York and he graduated from Cornell University in May. WROC reported that he moved to San Jose, California, after being hired last month as a software engineer for Netflix.

Reported missing on August 15, Kidane is believed to have traveled from San Jose to San Francisco. The Cornell Daily Sun reported that his phone pinged at the Golden State Bridge.

Kidane was described as being 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing around 150 pounds. He was reportedly last seen wearing gray sweatpants, a black hoodie, and black shoes.
