The reward for information that leads to an arrest in connection with the murder of California mother-of-5, Rachel Morin, has been increased to $10,000.
According to the Harford Sheriff, the reward fund was established following the discovery of Morin’s body on August 6 in Bel Air. Investigators said they are now are actively collaborating with the local Hispanic community in the region to identify the man suspected of her murder, CBS News reports.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, police said Morin was found dead on August 6, off the Ma and Pa Heritage Trail. She was found a little over 12 hours after her boyfriend, Richard Tobin, reported her missing when she didn’t return from a run on the trail.
Afterward, Maryland State Police examined the DNA left at the crime scene and processed it in the CODIS database. The DNA came back as a match for a man under suspicion for breaking into a Los Angeles home and assaulting a young girl in March.
Security footage released last week showed the suspect leaving the victim’s home. He appears to be a Hispanic male in his early to mid-20s, who stands around 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing around 160 pounds. Police are currently trying to identify him.
Harford County Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler, who said so far police have received around 350 tips, added that Morin suffered a “violent attack.” Investigators are hoping that more tips will lead to information that can help identify the suspect.
“Somebody out there knows who he is and that tip has not come through to us yet,” Gahler told NewsNation.
