A 16-year-old girl was arrested early Sunday for the stabbing death of another 16-year-old girl at a northwest Washington, D.C., McDonalds.
Police said the stabbing took place both inside and outside the fast food restaurant on 14th Street NW shortly after 2 a.m., WRC reported. The victim, Naima Liggon, was taken to a hospital in a private vehicle. Doctors tried to save her life but she succumbed to her injuries.
Police were called to the hospital by medical personnel.
The suspect was charged with second degree murder while armed; police said they found a knife in her possession.
Both girls were from Waldorf, Maryland.
