2 Killed, 3 Injured in Shooting, Suspects Open Fire on Victims at Alabama Hospital

Two people were killed and three people injured in a shooting on Monday that reportedly continued at an Alabama hospital.

WBRC reported that the initial shooting occurred at Aria Restaurant and Lounge — and the car the victims were driven in was shot at as it arrived to UAB Hospital. Police confirmed the deceased victims are two women, ages 24 and 33.

Gunfire at the hospital reportedly hit a UAB police vehicle and a hospital window.

According to AL. com, a wounded man who was also in the vehicle that was shot at has life-threatening injures. The two women were pronounced dead at the hospital.

The news outlet reported that two other women who were wounded arrived at the hospital in another vehicle. Their injuries are not life-threatening.

Police said two suspects opened fire at the victims at the hospital after an altercation at the restaurant. The suspects’ whereabouts are unknown and no arrests have been made.
