A California woman who gained recognition for her role in a multimillion-dollar equestrian venture says her husband, whom she’s accused of trying to kill, left a statue horse head on her bed “Godfather-style,” after his friend assaulted her.
According to the New York Post, Tatyana Remley accused her husband, Mark, of allowing his friend to rape her in their San Diego mansion. This was before she was arrested for allegedly plotting to kill Mark, according to court documents.
“They forced entry into my bedroom and held me at gunpoint. I was raped by one of his friends, who also told me that he planned on killing me. This happened all while respondent watched and laughed, allowing his friends to proceed,” the documents reportedly read.
“They went on to break my expensive horse statue in the yard and put the head of the horse in my bed, Godfather style.”
“On May 21, 2023, Respondent’s friends came into our home and broke open my bedroom door while I was locked inside. It was late at night and I was scared to death.”
Afterward, Remley allegedly offered a friend $2 million to take her husband out. It was Mark himself who turned the alleged plot details over to police.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, the San Diego County County Sheriff’s Department arrested Tatyana Remley on August 2, for allegedly soliciting her friend to kill Mark at some point between between July 1 and August 2.
Police arrested Remley at a Starbucks on Loma Santa Fe in Solana Beach. She’s been charged with solicitation of murder, carrying a loaded firearm in a public place, and carrying a concealed weapon.
The divorce court filings also stated that Remley was in fear for her life, according to ABC 10.
“(Mark) held a gun to petitioner’s head, threatening to kill her, in front of an employee. (Mark) has also chased petitioner around the house with a knife, trying to kill her,” a court document read.
Prior to her arrest, Remley asked the court to make Mark pay $15,000 in spousal support a month, to help her uphold a luxurious lifestyle she has grown accustomed to. She indicated that she’s under “extreme financial strain” while having to pay $12,000 in monthly expenses.
Court documents state that Remley’s monthly expenses include personal assistants, drivers, and bodyguards. She argued that Mark, who reportedly has over $8 million in assets, should help her pay.
Remley pleaded not guilty to the charges during her arraignment earlier this month. She remains behind bars without bail. The latest charges come after Remley’s previous incarceration in June for felony vehicle theft.
In 2012, the Remley couple gained attention for orchestrating a mobile equestrian event named “Valitar in Del Mar.” The show was quickly canceled, however, plunging the couple into lawsuit battles with vendors who claimed they didn’t get paid.
The pair later launched the Rhythm and Power cycling studio in 2015, but by 2016, the business shut down.
