Failed equestrian show producer, Tatyana Remley, apparently has a history of unsuccessful engagements with wealthy men while utilizing child support payments to sustain her extravagant lifestyle, according to reports.
Acquaintances told the New York Post that Lemley, who is accused of offering $2 million to a friend to take her latest husband, Mark Remley, out, was manipulative and attempted to milk Mark out of his $26 million, inherited from his parents.
“I was surprised that she would be that brutal, but I know a couple guys who ‘played’ with her and they said she was an icy b****,” a former friend told the Post.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, the San Diego County County Sheriff’s Department arrested Tatyana Remley on August 2, for allegedly soliciting her friend to kill Mark at some point between between July 1 and August 2.
Police arrested Remley at a Starbucks on Loma Santa Fe in Solana Beach. She’s been charged with solicitation of murder, carrying a loaded firearm in a public place, and carrying a concealed weapon.
After her arrest, friends and acquaintances said she had had at least three prior engagements, along with a brief marriage.
Before her March 2011 marriage to Mark Remley, Tatyana married Seattle real estate developer Ken Woolcott, who is 20 years older than her. He later accused her of using his credit cards for shopping sprees, purchasing clothes only to subsequently return them and keep the refunded money.
“I know that the Petitioner has additional funds available to her as I have evidence of her converting my funds into her own separate property,” Woolcott said in a December 2004 declaration, according to The Post.
“I am unwilling to give her cash as she demonstrated during the marriage her inability to properly manage money and stole monies from me, to which she still has access.”
The marriage lasted around 11 months but a bitter custody battle lasted for years after Tatyana gave birth to a son. The divorce was ultimately finalized in 2006, with Tatyana reportedly living off of child support payments before Woolcott gained full custody.
According to Woolcott, Tatyana Remley didn’t have a job and frequently missed their special needs son’s medical appointments. She also allegedly spent her nearly $9,000 a month child support payments on herself and on exes.
“[He] very much needs his mom in his life, but what history has taught us is that Tatyana does not appreciate how badly it tears up [the child] when he thinks he is going to see his mom and she, for whatever reason, causes that not to happen,” Woolcott wrote, according to an August 2014 affidavit.
Tatyana later had a child with someone else who reportedly paid her $5,000 a month in child support until she also lost custody, according to court documents.
According to a 2011 affidavit, Tatyana was engaged to three men following her divorce and before marrying Mark. One of the men ended up suing her for $4,000 in loans. Tatyana argued that the money was not a loan, but a gift, court documents state.
Prior to her arrest, Remley asked the court to make Mark pay $15,000 in spousal support a month, to help her uphold a luxurious lifestyle she has grown accustomed to. She indicated that she’s under “extreme financial strain” while having to pay $12,000 in monthly expenses.
Court documents indicated that Tatyana Remley’s monthly expenses include personal assistants, drivers, and bodyguards. She argued that Mark, who reportedly has over $8 million in assets, should help her pay.
Meanwhile, she pleaded not guilty to the charges during her arraignment earlier this month. She remains behind bars without bail. The latest charges come after a previous incarceration in June for felony vehicle theft.
In 2012, the Remley couple gained attention for orchestrating a mobile equestrian event named “Valitar in Del Mar.” The show was quickly canceled, however, plunging the couple into lawsuit battles with vendors who claimed they didn’t get paid.
The pair later launched the Rhythm and Power cycling studio in 2015, but by 2016, the business shut down.
