Federal agents arrested a Mississippi Baptist worship leader earlier this month on charges of producing and distributing child pornography.
Tyler Selby, 33, faces one count each of possession and production of child pornography, according to the Biloxi Sun Herald. He was ordered held without bond following his arrest.
Court documents say investigators were tipped by the National Crime Agency in the United Kingdom about a Skype user known as “cj dereks” — later identified as Selby, a married father — who was allegedly producing and sharing child porn with a user in the UK.
The UK user poses as a 17-year-old girl named “Emma Long” “to obtain child sexual abuse material,” the documents say. The user shares a video of “Emma Long’s” 5-year-old sister engaging in sexual activity to entice others to sexually abuse children and share the videos, the complaint says.
Investigators in the UK found a video of a man, later identified as Selby, in a bathtub with a small, naked boy. Selby masturbated in the video, and when he finished, he had the boy wash his genitals with a washcloth.
Detectives matched images from Selby’s driver’s license and social media accounts with the man in the video and determined them to be the same person.
Agents watched Selby for several days at his home in Stone County before arrested him on September 11.
Selby’s church, Robinwood Baptist Church in Saucier, said on his website that it had fired Selby as “minister of music” after his arrest.
