Oklahoma police have confirmed that a body was discovered amid a search for a woman who vanished last week.
KFOR reported that a body was found — wrapped in carpet — in a drainage ditch in Pottawatomie County. The body could be connected to Makayla Fay Meave-Byers, who was last seen voluntarily getting into a white Chevy extended cab pickup on Friday.
Meave-Byers’ family told News Nation that it is not like her to disappear. Her mother claimed her phone pinged within three miles of her home in Macomb.
Anyone with information regarding Meave-Byers’ whereabouts is asked to call the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office at 405-273-1727.
