Florida police are searching for an 11-year-old Daytona girl who hasn’t been seen since Monday morning.
The Dayton Police Department is requesting public assistance in the search for Jessie Marie Haynes, who disappeared from Greenway Street early Monday morning around 7:45 a.m. She was last seen wearing tan pants, a red shirt, and a sweatshirt. She had a pink and white backpack and was wearing Crocs shoes.
Police said the provided photos shows Haynes around 18 months ago, and looks older now. At the time of her disappearance, Jessie had her hair in two braids.
Family members reportedly told police that Jessie refused to go to school Monday morning and ran off. The family added that it was “unusual” behavior, since she has never ran away from home before.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Dayton Police Department at 937-333-2677 or Crime Stoppers at 937 222-7867.
