A Minnesota grand jury has returned four counts of murder against the ex-boyfriend of 26-year-old Madeline Kingsbury, who was found dead in June, more than two months after she disappeared.
Adam Fravel, 29, was already being held without bond on two counts of second degree murder, CrimeOnline reported, but the Winona County grand jury handed up two counts of first degree murder as well, according to WCCO.
Kingsbury disappeared on March 31 after dropping the children she shared with Fravel at daycare. Fravel, who lived with Kingsbury although the two were no longer in a relationship, said he left the home at about 10 a.m. in Kingsbury’s van and that she was gone when he returned.
Kingsbury’s body was found on June 7 on property not far from Fravel’s parents, and that they maintained. He was taken into custody the same day.
The body was found wrapped in a fitted sheet, similar to bedding found in Kingsbury’s home, and secured with Gorilla tape. Investigators found a roll of Gorilla tape of the same color and width at the home as well.
Prior to his arrest, Fravel filed for custody of Kingsbury’s children, but a judge denied the request. The children are being cared for by her parents.
H faces a maximum penalty of life in prison if convicted.
